Today's Toby

No, I haven't seen the spatula you used for the chocolate covered raisins. Why do you ask?  (Moments before...)

Turns out you can dye sesame seeds with food coloring and turn the whole thing into a fantastic mini sandbox. Course, if you spend an hour or so digging through them with sweaty, little hands, some of the dye will rub off. But that's what bath time is for.

Say "aahhh". Now your ears. Luckily, we can take this temperature under your arm. You'll never believe where they used to take it when I was young.  Your heart sounds like it's right where it should be. I'm going to need that part back, Sir. Just because you're my dad, doesn't mean you can keep the stethoscope.  And blood pressure...looks like 0/0. That's probably fine, right? Mom, my patient looks a little concerned. Can you get him a cookie or something?

Grateful for a little fresh air and sunshine. 

We take fish feeding very seriously. Also, that fish is not going to be hungry again for a week.

This cable car is over 30 years old and still making magic. (For those who knew it in its youth, yes, the cable still comes off the track if the angle isn't just right.)

When you've just discovered how to swish water... But Mom says "right before bed isn't the time to guzzle down all your water"... But it's so much fun that you just can't help yourself... And you get that far-away, dreamy look in your eye... Then you realize you're losing valuable swishing time... So you check to see if Mom's watching... And you go in for another swish. Carpe diem!

The couch seems to have sprouted a boy and a bear.

When you help in the kitchen, you get to lick the spoon! (Not so exciting when mom's making soup, but fantastic when she's making chocolate covered raisins.)

I'm told that Toby was the one who wanted to wear matching pajama pants and white t-shirts. Either way, these two are having a good time.

Halt! Who goes there? What's the password? Oh, it's just Mom and Dad. I would invite you in, but I wasn't really expecting company. So...what do say we eat M&M's and ice cream for the rest of the day? You can't seriously expect me to eat grilled cheese at a time like this.

This little Lost Boy is definitely growing up, but he's retained his wild hair from his Neverland days. "Rufio!" (In case it's been a while since you've seen Hook, you can refresh your Rufio reference here .)

Mix, mix, mix it up. Oh wait, what's this? An onion? That's definitely not supposed to be in there. Nothing to see here, Mom. Just mixing the veggies. Now that I've dumped that onion out of the pot, I just have to figure out how to get the rest of them out of there. Wait. You put HOW many of those onions in here? I'll never be able to sneak that many out. Mom'll notice that for sure. You know what that means? I'm having hot dogs for dinner!
