Today's Toby

When the tree place is a mile away, but you want a big tree, you have to be resourceful.  Toby wasn't as impressed.  

Searching out our Christmas tree...  

Toby wanted to see the underside of the faucet, so we got out the mirror. Learning all we can while mostly stuck at home.  

Toby, let's get a nice Thanksgiving picture. Okay, Dad.  

We had a simple meal at home. Toby had chocolate chip pancakes (since he didn't want any of the traditional options). And there was Zoom for all (along with a few funny filters for good measure). Looking forward to the day when we can be together again in person. Happy Thanksgiving!

Wait, I can paint without a brush? Cool. Wait, this is pretty messy, Dad. I don't know what Mom is going to think about this. Yeah, this isn't good. How are you going to fix this, Dad?

Ah. At last, I can relax now that there are no animals around... Holy moly, what the heck is THAT thing?!?  

Some more pictures from our trip to the zoo. "Here we have the Great Horned Owl. It says they eat all varieties of small creatures" "So, if you're a small creature, don't hang out around here." "Wait. Am I a small creature? Oh, boy." "Dad, we've got to get out of here. But just act casual. We don't want to attract their attention."  

A few weekends ago (back when it was warm) we did a visit to the Queens Zoo. Despite Toby's general dislike for live animals, it was very successful. Possibly, because it started out with ducks which let us get used to the idea of being able to safely look at all the animals.  If you're going to be out of the stroller, the next safest spot is on Dad's shoulders.   

This puzzle of the United States has filled hours of time for us in the past month. Toby can now put together all of the states. (The border is a bit trickier.)  

Pretty sure that since I'm a munchkin, I can't eat too much of something called Munchkins.   

Hard at work on some turkey art work.  Whew whew! (Or should I say Gobble Gobble!?)  

(Toby and Slumbers are co-workers today.) "Hey Slumbers, what's that word for when I want you but you're not there?" "Unbearable." "Hmm. Yeah. Sounds right."  

 We've had a couple of rainy days here, but that hasn't deterred Toby from wanting to adventure outside. Thank goodness for this handsome jacket from our neighbor Mary!

  When the scenery doesn't change much, some times this is the only way to get a new perspective.
