Today's Toby

This was Toby's first real Halloween. We went to a Halloween party and did actual trick or treating.  The party had flags and cupcakes. He made a mask. Played the ring toss. Yes! And had a great time .

The many faces of our Jack-o-Lanterns - Smiley, Smiley, and This-Old-Holiday-Again? (Contrary to recent photos, Spencer is usually a very smilely baby.)   

There are many times I've wished for more space in our little apartment, but we are surrounded by the very best of neighbors. Today 2 of our neighbors brought over Halloween gifts for the kids. We are the luckiest. 

So if a few bananas is a bunch, what do you call a whole bunch of bunches? Hmm. There's just no name for it. Bunch-illions.  

While keeping your eyes on the road is arguably more important for a new driver, it's not nearly as dramatic as making eye contact while you zoom by.  

You know the Go Karting is getting serious when you break out the gloves.  

When you're a secret agent, you can't be too careful.   

Starting to get chilly.  

Digging in the dirt. There was even a worm!  

When you are the luckiest lad in all the land, your neighbor might knock on your door with a Go-kart. It's a good life.  

This kiddo is mile-a-minute, and we love him tremendously.   

And we painted, and did playdough, and sang songs, and played on the playground.  It was awesome.   

When your mom is trying to take your picture but you want her to be pushing the swing.  

This is the face of someone who has just served a pretend broccoli-fish pizza.  

Dad's been working a lot, so we're pretty excited when we get to see him.

I asked him to show me his running pose...I think it's going to be a track season worth watching.   

There is nothing so charming as a sleeping child.    

You can't go too far wrong with whatever you get at the bakery.  

He was cold. And hungry. And practicing his scowl for when he's 105.  

Catching Grandma up on all things Sesame Street.   

I would not pass up the opportunity to order lunch from this fabulous restaurant.  Don't say I didn't warn you.   

When you're tired from the week, But excited for the weekend.   

Contrary to what it might look like, the playground is much more fun with classmates.  

When you're also a doctor, you make sure your best friend is in good shape even if it's just Wednesday.   

Learning about other cultures is awesome. Especially when it involves marshmallow covered chocolate. Thank you, Davis!
