Today's Toby

This photo comes courtesy of Toby's teacher, Mrs. Appleby. Toby thought the idea of a Banana Moon in the Grocery Store was hilarious and was insistent that we be able to see his joke in action. No substitutions were acceptable. Thankfully, Mrs. Appleby saved the day by snapping this picture.  

Enjoying a post-school snack outside. We luck into sunshine and mild temperatures.  

A throwback to before our most recent haircuts. Apparently, it was a very somber (and shaggy) time.  

I'm not sure what's going on in this picture, but both Toby and Spencer seem pretty focused on Spencer's foot. Maybe it's a demonstration on putting your best foot forward.

If you haven't seen any episodes of Bluey, I highly recommend them - kiddo and grown-up approved.  

Some full-body rounds of rock, paper, scissors. If you watch it with sounds, you'll hear that Spencer thought it was hilarious.  

Dad mentioned that if/when the kiddos are sharing a room, they could talk to each other all night long. Toby thinks this is a FANTASTIC idea. Spencer just has to learn a few more words.  

Behold! A Tagger (for playing tag). Not to be confused with a tiger.  

I don't even know what this face was in reference to, but I'm glad it's been recorded.  

The floor is Lava! Thank goodness we've got these awesome stepping stones.  

Apparently, there's a Fish Library under the slide. Not sure if it's a library for fish or of fish. But there you go.  

A bit of tape and some cardboard for hours of fun. (And some hidden math. Long tunes are 30 points, short tunes are 5 points.)  

I'm not sure whether Toby was cold, or really interested in the video that Spencer was watching, or just looking for snuggles. But whatever the reason, this is how they ended up.  

Toby wanted to paint this weekend. Unfortunately now that Spencer is more than adept at climbing up on chairs, the table in the playroom is no longer Spencer-safe place, so bedroom floor. The artwork itself is still in process as of this post. Perhaps we'll get future content showing his creation.  

Happy Rubber Duck Day! Someone's been waiting "all month" for today in anticipation of the Rubber Duck Parade. May the small things always bring you great joy, kiddo. It certainly sweetens the ride.

Spiffy new haircut.  

The boys got some Crayola Bath Soap for Christmas. (Thank you Sauer Family!) Toby has taken to washing Spencer, and Spencer kind of loves it.
