The Little One decided it was funny to run around with the bottom of his shirt in his mouth. And then the Big One followed suit. Suffice to say, Toby is learning how a little brother could be fun to have around.
After a disappointing loss yesterday for both Furman and the Kansas Jayhawks, Toby was ELATED that the Kansas Wildcats won their game today. This was the only shirt with purple on it that we had on hand.
Someone found the requisite number of shamrocks for the library's Shamrock Scavenger Hunt (and won an Irish flag sticker). He was also very proud of his green outfit.
Last weekend we visited Verona Park playground and had a great time. Toby had a lot of fun climbing the fun fake grass hill. How did he come down you ask? Like this, mostly:
We ventured to a new playground today. It seemed to have a normal name, but Google has it listed as the 'Oink and Moo Playgroud' This, we presume, is Oink: And this is Moo: That's our story, and we're sticking to it.
Those kiddos with summer birthdays get to celebrate their half birthday. As part of the celebration a parent got to come in and read a book. Cotton gave a very well received reading of 'Don't Feed the Coos". Thanks to Mrs. Appleby for the family photo! (Side note: it was also PJ day at school, so that's why Toby is wearing his pajamas.) I think this one may be Spencer realizing he'll also never be able to celebrate his actual birthday during the school year.
The backstory is a bit long to explain here. Suffice it to bedtime has gotten a bit silly. How silly? Tonight Toby said he wanted to do the splits with bananas on top of him. Afterword, when we commented on his 'Banana Split' joke, Toby said he hadn't actually thought of that. He just wanted to do the splits with Bananas. Parenting is never boring.
Last weekend we got to see the Hartleys and Cousin Davis. Which was awesome in its own right. But Toby also got to play Apples to Apples. Best time ever!
While we didn't end up getting that much snow, it was perfect for rolling. So we made a snow family. Who knows what happened after we went inside? But when I looked out the window this morning, Mom snowman seemed to have passed out. And a fellow mom, I can only say, I'm she needed the nap.
