Could Be Fun

Image
The Little One decided it was funny to run around with the bottom of his shirt in his mouth. And then the Big One followed suit. Suffice to say, Toby is learning how a little brother could be fun to have around.

Magnet Tiles

The latest magnet tile creations.

Looks

Image
A few Looks... Chilling. Pensive. Mom, why are you still taking pictures? How many different looks can I possibly give you?!

Peeking Through

Image
Some times the little-kid-ness peeks through the big-kid-ness.

Watch Tower

Image
From up in the watch tower... Toby-Wan Kenobi surveys the landscape for droids.

Snack Break

Image
Enjoying a snack on first warm weekend day in awhile.  Looking forward to spring!

Active Listening

Image
Listening to his nightly lullaby. Or something like that.

Dad Boat

Image
Someone's hitching a ride on the Dad Boat. Where they'll come a shore? Nobody knows.

Rainy Rice

Scoop of rainy day rice.

Way Up High

Image
Hello up there!

Y

Image
This post is brought to you by the letter "Y". In stick form.

St. Patrick's Day Art

Image
Some leftover shots from St. Patrick's Day. We drew some seasonal artwork at the playground.

Wildcats!

Image
After a disappointing loss yesterday for both Furman and the Kansas Jayhawks, Toby was ELATED that the Kansas Wildcats won their game today. This was the only shirt with purple on it that we had on hand.

Wherever There's A Map...

Image
This kiddo will find it.

St. Pats

Image
Someone found the requisite number of shamrocks for the library's Shamrock Scavenger Hunt (and won an Irish flag sticker). He was also very proud of his green outfit.

So Long, Farewell

Image
Bidding goodbye to our old kitchen chairs.

Thumbs Up

Image
I was supposed to be taking a picture of the red and blue dome behind him but I thought the kiddo in the foreground was much more interesting.

Up and Down

Image
Last weekend we visited Verona Park playground and had a great time.  Toby had a lot of fun climbing the fun fake grass hill. How did he come down you ask? Like this, mostly:

The Swing

Image
Swinging for the rafters. (This is why we play with balloons and paper towel rolls when we're inside.)

Oink and Moo

Image
We ventured to a new playground today. It seemed to have a normal name, but Google has it listed as the 'Oink and Moo Playgroud' This, we presume, is Oink: And this is Moo:  That's our story, and we're sticking to it.

Clamping Down

Image
If there's a clamp left on the table, you can't just let that opportunity slip by you. Thanks, Grandpa Wright!

Shark Week?

Image
Toby posing in "the mouth of the shark".

We Got This

Image
On your mark, get set... Go!

Looks At My Ramp!

Image
Right now we're in a "take my picture" phase. I'm going to remember this when we get to the scowling phase.

Digging for treasure

Image
Seeing what treasures can be found at the Central School Playground.

5-1/2!

Image
Those kiddos with summer birthdays get to celebrate their half birthday.  As part of the celebration a parent got to come in and read a book. Cotton gave a very well received reading of 'Don't Feed the Coos".  Thanks to Mrs. Appleby for the family photo! (Side note: it was also PJ day at school, so that's why Toby is wearing his pajamas.) I think this one may be Spencer realizing he'll also never be able to celebrate his actual birthday during the school year.

Banana Split

Image
The backstory is a bit long to explain here. Suffice it to bedtime has gotten a bit silly. How silly? Tonight Toby said he wanted to do the splits with bananas on top of him. Afterword, when we commented on his 'Banana Split' joke, Toby said he hadn't actually thought of that. He just wanted to do the splits with Bananas. Parenting is never boring.

Apples!

Image
Last weekend we got to see the Hartleys and Cousin Davis. Which was awesome in its own right. But Toby also got to play Apples to Apples. Best time ever!

Look of Love

Image
The face of a kiddo watching his dad do silly dances.

Oui, Oui

Image
Toby was excited that he had eaten his grilled cheese into the shape of France and wanted to commemorate the occasion with a photo.

Snow Family

Image
While we didn't end up getting that much snow, it was perfect for rolling. So we made a snow family. Who knows what happened after we went inside? But when I looked out the window this morning, Mom snowman seemed to have passed out. And a fellow mom, I can only say, I'm she needed the nap.
