Today's Toby

If you're in Italy and you're not eating gelato at least once a day, you're not doing it right.  

This was the first trip where Toby was able to take advantage of his digital camera. He took around 300 pictures and is now in the process of putting the prints into his photo albums.  

A throwback to when we were riding with Grandpa on the "Italy Bus".  

 Settled in and watching Bluey. (Notice we hadn't left the gate yet.)  And then with the help of Slumbers he thankfully settled in for a pretty good sleep. Visions of impendimg pizza and Gelato swirling in his head. He wanted the Headphones to limit the noise, not for listening to Bluey while he slept.

We still have a few photos to share from our Italy adventures, but today was Toby's first day of summer camp. So far, so good.

Pretty sure you're required to wave to everyone you pass while you're riding around the wall.  

Today we took a trip to Montecatini, which included a funicular trip up (and down) the side of a mountain. Here we are waiting to ride up. And ready for the trip down. Here's Grandpa with a very silly Toby on the trip down. The operator, in turn, was making some pretty silly faces back at the boys. Fortunately, it was nothing but seriousness inside the funicular.  

We're told that this is the Scotland of Italy, and while red phone booths are more closely associated with England, we figured it was close enough.

Took the short train ride to Pisa for the day. We had to try our hand at the classic photo... and we nailed it! Thanks for being our grest tour guide, Grandpa Wright.

Happy Father's Day to all our Dads. The walk is always better when we walk hand in hand. Love you.  

We lost track of how many different transports we took today, but it was definitely a LOT. Grateful to have arrived safely. Pass the gelato!  

Waiting for your first international flight is a roller coaster of emotions.  

Toby, today you finish Kindergarten. Moving and then starting school not knowing anybody is a tough thing to do, and you handled it beautifully. Mom and I are proud of what you accomplished this year and can't wait to see what 1st Grade brings. We're excited to see your friendships blossom and confidence continue to grow. We love you tremendously.  

Reflections on being nearly done with kindergarten.  

Toby felt adventurous at the Science Center on Saturday and did a little climbing with mom.
