Today's Toby

It's a good day when you get a glow bracelet.  

Today they celebrated Tet Trung Thu at Toby's school. Tet Trung Thu is a Vietnamese Mid-Autumn Festival for children that features lanterns, toys,  and treats.  

Table Football...but on the floor. Spencer had a prime seat.  

Apparently, these are called "half jacks". Not to be confused with regular old jumping jacks. (Though I'm unclear on the difference.)  

Auditioning to be the Headless Horseman. "I mean, did you see what I just did?!"

During the pandemic, picking berries off the bushes outside our apartment building (and dropping them down the drain) was a favorite pastime. Apparently, it's still pretty fun.  

If you look carefully in the sky you can see the rainbow we were able to catch a glimpse of this evening. Apparently, they used to do "rainbow breathing" (shown in the GIF below) at his preschool program in Queens. He was tickled to be able to do it underneath a REAL rainbow.  

Quality Sumday morning time with Mom amd Spencer.  

 Beautiful weather made for a lovely Saturday afternoon in the park.  Felt lucky to get some great photos of these two goofball having fun and enjoying each other's company.

Grateful to be back at it at BPA for the fall.  

Concentrating hard on where he wanted to throw his rock.  

We've reached the age where posing for pictures results in a sort of awkward, forced smile. But every now and again, the camera captures a moment of true happiness. And it's like uncovering gold.  

When you are descended from goofballs, you must resign yourself to being a clown.  

First day of homework is done.
