Today they celebrated Tet Trung Thu at Toby's school. Tet Trung Thu is a Vietnamese Mid-Autumn Festival for children that features lanterns, toys, and treats.
During the pandemic, picking berries off the bushes outside our apartment building (and dropping them down the drain) was a favorite pastime. Apparently, it's still pretty fun.
If you look carefully in the sky you can see the rainbow we were able to catch a glimpse of this evening. Apparently, they used to do "rainbow breathing" (shown in the GIF below) at his preschool program in Queens. He was tickled to be able to do it underneath a REAL rainbow.
Beautiful weather made for a lovely Saturday afternoon in the park. Felt lucky to get some great photos of these two goofball having fun and enjoying each other's company.
We've reached the age where posing for pictures results in a sort of awkward, forced smile. But every now and again, the camera captures a moment of true happiness. And it's like uncovering gold.
