Hershey Bar

Image
Toby got pictures with all the Hershey characters on his personal camera, but I was able to get one of him with the Hershey Bar.

Not Ready

Image
We neglected to post photos from our last ride at Hersheypark: Driving Racecars. Suffice to say that Dad was not ready to be a passenger.

Cows!

Image
Singing cows! The poster for the "chocolate tour ride" featured cows and the ride delivered: singing cows! Sources seem to vary on exactly how much milk is used by the Hershey plant every day, but it is definitely a LOT and we were glad to see the cows be recognized for their important contributions.

Kit Kat Timbers

Image
We went to 4D cinema experience while we were at Chocolate World (which is to say they rumbled our chairs and blew air on us). We also got to vote for where we wanted the train to take us. Toby was part of a successful campaign to go to KitKat Timbers.

The Toby Bar

Image
We did a "make your own candy bar" tour while we were at Chocolate World. You get to pick which kind chocolate, what toppings, and whether it has sprinkles. Then you get to watch and learn about the process while your bar is make. Toby took a somewhat ninja approach to the experience. Your name displays as your bar moves down the conveyor belt. Waiting for it to be finished is the hardest part.

Hershey Bar

Image
Right at 48", Toby was thrilled to clear the Reese's to be a Hershey Bar.

Mini Himalaya

Image
Apparently, rides are good places for selfies. Here we have Dad and kiddos aboard the Mini-Himalaya. And Mom and kiddos aboard the Tilt-A-Whirl.

Captain & Lieutenant

Captain Toby and Lieutenant Dad, before their Starship Mission.

Measuring Up

Image
Fortunately, neither of these ferocious creatures is bear size...yet.

ZooAmerica

Image
We took a few days of spring break to go out to the Hershey/Harrisburg area of PA. And although we didn't see any live bears at ZooAmerica (even though they were the Animal of the Month), we did see this charming fellow.

Happy Easter

Image
We were traveling back to NJ today after being in PA during spring break. As such, our Easter egg hunt started in the mudroom. (Special thanks to Aunt Bahiya for the eggs-roar-dinary t-shirt, which we have loved for years and finally managed to wear on Easter.)

Stair Game

Stepping up his stair game.

An Earful

Image
Toby and Spencer relative to one of Lady Liberty's ears.

Holding Lady Liberty

Image
Holding up Lady Liberty. On the ferry. And on Liberty Island.

Lucky Us

Image
This year Toby decided that he wanted to give Jason a 4 leaf clover for his birthday. Which seemed like an impossible task at the time. But he managed to find one after only his second round of hunting for one. May it bring good luck all around.

Always Learning

Image
Toby was really interested in the exhibits at Ellis Island. He read every sign he could at his own pace. It was lovely to see.

Crusin' the Hudson

Image
The sky looks more foreboding here than it ever actually was. They were very excited to be on the ferry.

A tradition like no other...

Image
Watching the drama play out on a Sunday at Augusta

Go Fish!

Image
We often play Go Fish with Grandma and Grandpa on video calls. It works even better in person.

Lounging

Image
Lounging on Mom.

Kitchen Glow

Slight Of...Child

Image
And for my next trick, I'll turn Toby into Spencer.

Bulking Up

Image
It would seem that Toby has taken up lifting weights.

Stay In The Game

Image
Sometimes the key to success is staying in the game until your opponent is tired.

Movie Time

Image
Movie theater birthday parties seem to be all the rage.

Reader

Image
Grateful this kid loves reading so much.

Way Home

Image
Looking out for Spencer on the way home.

Say What?

Say what?!?

When you get photobombed...by a picture of yourself.

A new book cannot be left unread.
