To the kids' delight (and the ants' demise), we were able to squeeze in one more day of "water fun". Toby scouted put (and promptly soaked) any ants he found.
I'm not sure if there's a spider (or frog) character in the Bad Guys books, but if there is I may need to be a little more cautious around the house...
Toby's best friend played in a Fantasy Football League last year, and he was excited to do it. So this year I found 5 parents and 5 kids to do a parent/child league. Here we are going to hos very first draft. And here he is during the draft. Do you think he was excited? And here's the draft room in action.
Found a few more pictures from vacation. These were taken on the trolley on the New York side of Niagara. For the record, he's not actually mad. He just thinks it's fun to sour when he sees someone taking a picture.
We got to see Toby's self-portrait at Back to School night. He is surrounded by some his favorite things: money, diamonds, pizza, brackets, science, soccer, football, and basketball.
Now that Toby is at the upper elementary school, he gets dismissed on his own. Which means he now crosses over to the library all by himself to meet us. He's very pleased with this new independence.
1st day as a 3rd grader at the big school. So far, he's very pleased. He and his teacher share the same birthday and the prospects for sugary snacks have increased exponentially.
Toby requested mini-golf for his birthday. We went to aSafari mini-golf. On one hole we were greeted by this big guy. He doesn't look happy to see us, but he was.
