Today's Toby

Toby's 3rd Grade Halloween Parade.   

Excited for Halloween!  

When your friend joins you to read books at the library...  

You can tell he's on track to be a teenager because he insists on wearing shorts when it's cold outside. (Though, at least he wears pants and a winter coat to school.)  

If you come at the Mama, you best not miss.  

Well, at least these kids get to go to the polls often. Usually early with dad and on election day with mom.   

Enjoying Spencer's bedtime show.

Sometimes I wonder what percentage of the library's book we will have read by the time these kiddos graduate.   

Running some football routes in the livingroom.  

Adding the stamps, return labels, and (of course) stickers to Mom's letters.

Enjoying a brief Monday morning hike amongst the fall leaves.  

An early morning drive to drop Mom off at Pen  Station meant we got home in time for a beautiful sunrise.   

Possible we're getting tired of daily pictures..

Did we mention how fun it is to do homework? (For the record, not very.)  

Toby had off from school today.  It was a pretty good day. Complete with bouts of excitement, moments of confusion, and some eye-rolling. Not too bad.  

We're working on learning how to compromise and negotiate. This weekend, to be sure everyone remembered what was agreed on, we wrote it down.  Tonight, I'm happy to report that it paid dividends. Everyone remembered the terms.

Sometimes finding something to play together is impossible and sometimes it's so easy.

Dad did most of the cleaning/carving because Toby did not like the smell, but we did manage one shot of the carving.

Today Toby was wearing his NFL pullover hoodie (thanks, Great Aunt Lynn!) and shorts. I feel like this will be the default teen outfit. So, here's a preview of coming attractions.
