Today's Toby

Happy Father's Day to all the dads, granddads, and other father figures we may have known. But an especially Happy Father's Day to this dad. Thanks for being a safe harbor, the life of the party, and everything in between. We love you tremendously.

If you thought hauling everything back and forth from his bed to the couch was just a phase, you would be wrong.  

Toby volunteered to push the stroller this morning.

Ready for his combined Rhino Romp and Field Day. (The Rhinos are Toby's school mascot. The Rhino Romp is an end-of-the-year race that they do through town.)  

Toby was ready to strike a basketball pose as he represented the Spurs during the concert. Here's his intro of the final group song. He was the only one to memorize his line. Celebrating post-show with Hudson.

I'm not sure if it's just because it's homework, but Toby has been very diligent about practicing for his recorder concert.

Almost 9 years of a blog may be getting to him. Sometimes you take whatever picture you can get.

Sometimes you need a little support from your best bear when you're playing an intense game of Sorry.  

It's important to maintain your chill.  

Sometimes it feels like you get a glimpse into the future. Today after school, Toby wanted to go to Hudson's house to play Madden with Hudson and Emmett. Suddenly, it didn't feel like "I want to have a playdate with my friend." It felt like "see you later - I'm going to hangout with my friends." Crazy how nothing changes and everything changes.
