The last time we went to the zoo, Toby did not want to go anywhere near this guy. This time around, he was scratching him under the chin. (Photo from our previous visit.)
Celebrating Dad! Happiest of birthdays to Jason. Thank you for always being willing to toss a football, for all the lunches lovingly packed, for all the help with projects for school, and for all the games of make-believe. For all the millions of other ways you take care of us, thank you. We love you tremendously.
First the yellow disc was stuck in the tree. (See first photo). Then we threw the football up to get it out. This might be predictable, but then the ball got stuck. We were a bit far from home, but many kind strangers stepped in to try to help. All we had left was a tennis ball, which wasn't doing the trick. Ultimately a guy who lived accross the street grabbed a small volleyball and we had victory. This kid got to go home with both his things.
For a while, I would never see Toby touching Slumbers. Toby wanted Slumbers to feel cold, so he wouldn't hold him. He often kicks Slumbers from place to place so that Slumbers can retain his perfect temperature. It's nice to see that Slumbers does still get cuddles.
