Today's Toby

Our early voting poll site was at the court house. Turns out people, don't seem to play here much and we had the yard to ourselves.

Dipping our toes into making and playing with slime. Literally and figuratively.

Walk with purpose, even when you can't go anywhere in particular. 

We did a second hike into the nature a couple blocks from our apartment.   Here you can see a bit of the city inserting itself back into the picture.

In some photos you can just feel the excitement coming through.    It's easy to get excited about Mom's super fluffy Chocolate Chip Pancakes!

Turns out, homemade fudgesicles are highly edible.

Doing our part to beautify the neighborhood. 

Peppa Pig and Zanzabar Zebra have joined the fold. Jumping in muddy puddles is quickly becoming a favorite activity. 

Thanks for always being game to join in the fun. You're the best Dad EEEEVVVVEEEERRR!

It was fun pretending to give Dad a bath, but it's even more fun to give the Tiger Family (and friends) a REAL bath.

At first it was just a few extra guys getting the crib, but Toby wanted to be sure everyone came.  A good time was had by all, especially the giant stuffed banana.

Slumber's Shoes has shoes every color of the rainbow!   Their selection is pretty limited when it comes to size however.

Onwards horse! I mean...Dad.

Mom (and Dad) planned to vote absentee for this primary, but things don't always go as planned. So, if the ballot's not coming to you, go to where the ballot is. (Dad's still going to vote. He just gets to fill out his from home.) Thanks to all the poll workers who helped us do it!

Can't be too safe.

Inspired by Daniel Tiger we did a nature walk scavenger hunt.   This is a picture of a boy who's pretty proud of his accomplishment.

Step 1:  Help Dad remember all the ingredients. (Not Pictured) Step 2: Mix it up. Step 3: Be sure to eat plenty of batter. Step 4: Some things Dad says I can't really help with.  (Not pictured) Step 5:  Carefully carry cookies to Mom while Dad carries the milk. Step 6:  Deliver the cookies after blowing them off the couple of times they might have hit the floor on the way.   Step 7:  Enjoy the cookies myself  (there would have been a picture of this, but apparently Dad was eating cookies himself.   We've been lucky enough to be cookie-rich to help get us through this time in isolation.  Most of the time it's Mommy and Toby delivering cookies to Daddy.  This time it was the other way around.  Either way, Toby is a key helper every time.

I was looking for something under the couch when all the sudden behind me... (Why was there no mention of this in any of the "What To Expect" books?!)

Although this setting is beautiful and delicate... I also want to convey that I can be intense and serious when necessary.

Amazingly, this is two blocks from our apartment. Going on a "hike" was a hit.
