Trick or Treat!

Image
We had a great time doing contactless trick or treating in our building. Toby was Katerina Kitty Cat, Stroller was Trolley (complete with bell and headlight), Mom and Dad were Mom and Dad Tiger, respectively. Daniel Tiger was not represented. He's the titular character for Pete's sake - it's not like he needs more publicity.

Pumpkin carving

Image
Getting ready to carve our pumpkin!  This is going to be so exciting. Wait, where's Toby? It looks like he's been banished to the corner, but this is where he elected to stand. Apparently, pumpkins are smelly. As long as Toby can be in charge of the scented candles, being close to the pumpkin is tolerable.  Success! Look at that handsome jack o'lantern! Is it Halloween yet?

Dad's getting much better at this!

Gearing up

We thought we'd get ready for Halloween by adding a few stickers to today's outfit.

Movie Time!

Image
Watching Paddington with Mommy. Thanks Great Aunt Bonnie for the movies!

Early Voting!

Image
Grateful for early voting!  Also, if you take a kid with you they let you skip the line. If anybody in NYC wants to borrow Toby this week, let us know.

Later Alligator

Mommy and Toby wearing matching shirts! Toby, can you smile for the picture? Perfect.

Upgrade

Image
Since it seems like this "working from home" thing may not be a phase, Toby has upgraded to add lights to his home office.

Morning Story

Image
Sometimes it's nice to read a book to Slumbers right when  you wake up. Less nice is when Dad interrupts to take pictures.

Fall fun

Image
Leaves, pumpkins, and cooler days. It must be fall.

Just the right amount of spooky

Image
Getting excited for Halloween! Thanks to Great Aunt Lyn for the fun new mask.

No minor characters

Image
Toby has a habit of falling in love with characters who appear only briefly. Here he's in love with Candice from Phineas and Ferb.

Oui, oui

Image
Hello, I'm here on behalf of quality control. Allow me to take a quick sample of this orange brioche. Wow. That is delicious. Ok. Here's what we're going to do. I'm going to need about this many more of these. It doesn't have to be right now. By end of day would be fine. I'm going to need to do a lot more sampling. (Special thanks to La Boulangerie.)

Side-eye

OMG. These kids are out of control. They are running, and jumping, and yelling. For goodness sakes, keep it down over there! Some of us are trying to enjoy a nice, quiet morning at the playground. Yeesh.

Guy Smiley

He's an imp, but he's got a great smile.

Twisty Slider

At the top. And rounding the corner.

Chipmunk cheeks

Happiness is cheeks stuffed with your favorite snack.

You've got to be kidding

Image
Mom, you cannot be serious. We are NOT going inside right now. I JUST got out here. I've got my bucket. This is prime digging time.

Glimpse

Just a glimpse of a nugget as he's off to slide and climb.

Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na

The Caped-Crusader stops in Forest Hills for a moment of reflection. Then a pep-talk. "Alfred, I need some space. Give me a bat-minute." Thanks to Jane and Max for the awesome new costume.

New heights

Climbing higher... And higher.
