Today's Toby

Keep your eyes peeled, Spencer. You never know what you might see out the window.  

We found a ring in the parking lot. Toby wanted me to take his picture wearing it.

  Loving this Sandra Boyton calendar from Grandma Wright.  Since the beginning of this month Toby has said he wanted picture with "ig-Pay Atin-Lay Ay-Day" (the 24th) and "For Pete's Sake Day (the 25th).  Looks like we have some silly things to celebrate this weekend.  

And then Mrs. Appleby said "I don't want any scribble scrabble in my class!" And I was like, "Exactly!" And then she was like, "Exactly. " And THAT'S why I like Mrs. Appleby. Because she appreciates quality. And so do I.  

Look Lady, I don't care who you know. I've got a store to run and wood chips are expensive these days.  

Taking advantage of an unseasonably warm afternoon for a family outing.   

Headed off to save the day. Wait... how did I get back here. Who's driving this thing?  

Part Tiger? Part Spider? I'm not sure, but he's ready to pounce.  

... A Pirate's Life for Me!  

Toby was rolling around on a foam brick we have, laughing and having a great time. Spencer thought this looked like fun, so he grabbed the other brick. What followed was a laughter-filled 10 minutes. Their nearly matching outfits gave it the feel of a planned routine.  

Assembling these chairs is hard work. You gotta have everything lined up perfectly. It's especially hard when management is watching you work. It will be Spencer's chair, so I guess he's invested in the Quality Control.  

A picture from yesterday, but it was too dapper to pass up. Toby, you are a kiddo with big feelings and an even bigger heart.  

This week is Kindness Week at school. Today they were encouraged to "dress their best" to show the best thing they can do is be kind. I asked Toby to strike his most dapper pose, and he did not disappoint.

Toby worked on Valentine's for his classmates last weekend. He told us he was trying to make sure he gave people cards with their favorite color on it. Very thoughtful.  He also wrote 5 to himself. A good reminder that self-love is important too.
